  • October 9 – Mitre Medical is accepted into the Proof of Concept program for the US-Japan Regulatory initiative known as Harmonization by Doing (HBD). HBD is focused on moving Japanese and U.S. clinical study sponsors and regulatory agencies toward the use of a single global clinical trial protocol for evaluating cardiovascular devices rather than parallel country-specific protocols.

  • May 2-3 – Mitre Sponsors the AATS Mitral Conclave, NYC, NY. Friday Lunch & Learn Presentation by Dr. Isaac George, MD. The 2019 AATS Mitral Conclave continues its tradition as the benchmark meeting in the field of mitral valve disease.     • April – Milestone Achievement: 1-Year Follow-Up for ENRAPT-MR Study. The initial patient series has reached the 1-Year Milestone for the ENRAPT-MR Study for the Treatment of Mitral Touch for Coronary Artery Bypass Patients with moderate to severe MR

The STS Workshop on Robotic Cardiac Surgery will offer extensive hands-on procedural experience in a state-of-the-art robotics training facility. Specially designed for surgical teams—a surgeon and a bedside assistant or other surgical team member—the Workshop will put participants in a realistic, cardiac robotics simulation environment where they can hone their skills in mitral valve repair, coronary bypass, and other cardiac surgery procedures
